A Solarpanel makes sunshine to energy
A Solarpanel creates energy by using certain selective wavelengths of various lighting. In short: energy from sunlight. So Solar energy comes from sunshine.
This process is known as the photovoltaic effect.
A solar panel is used to generate electricity. (A solar collector is used to generate heat.)
Solar power panels are made up of groups of solar cells that are joined together inside a frame. A single solar cell can change sunlight into electricity, but it can just produce about 1-2 watts (W) of power. In order to get useful quantities of solar power electricity for your home, several solar cells need to be joined together to form a solar panel.
